In the Asian markets, benzene moved higher by US $12 higher on March 17 compared with the previous day, and closed at $910-914/ ton (FOB Korea).
In the Chinese domestic market, price in East China rose to 7200-7300 Yuan / ton, South China price stood at 7000-7100 Yuan / ton and in North China it ranged between 7100-7200 Yuan / ton.
While overseas offers increased, oil prices consolidated, China's domestic benzene persisted in steady market conditions and trade volume was light.
Market participants expect that domestic market conditions in the near future will be based on consolidation.
