In 2010 edition of Techtextil North America, which will take place next May in Atlanta, ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and Italian Trade Commission have organized a Meeting Point.

They are hosting 10 Italian machinery manufacturers involved in the production of machines for technical textiles. Among these manufactures the following ones are ACIMIT members: Bonino, Essico, Mecatex, Guarneri, Plm, Pugi, Saspe, Testa, Tonello.

Technical textiles and nonwovens are a reality which is gaining more and more importance in terms of size, thanks to the technological features of its products and to its continuous offer of new and promising market niches. Italian industry turns particular attention to the sector of technical and innovative textiles. ACIMIT estimates about 120 Italian manufacturers offering machinery for the production of technical textiles and nonwovens. The turnover realized in this segment in 2009 amounted to about 300 million euro (18% of total Italian turnover worth 1.9 billion euro).

The continuous investment into research and innovation in the production of technical textiles has created a successful alliance of textile producers and Italian technology suppliers.
Also in US market Italian technology has being appreciated for a long time. In 2009 Italian exports to US market were 32 million euros.

The Italian exhibitors in Atlanta are only a part of the substantial Italian offer for this sector. If you would like to find out your technological partner, may visit the ACIMIT website where you can find ACIMIT associate members operating in the technical textiles sector.
