Next year, the garment and textile manufacturing industries will get together in Frankfurt am Main for the first Texprocess, Leading International Trade Fair for Processing Textile and Flexible Materials. Altogether, around 500 exhibitors are expected to present their innovations for the entire textile value chain at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre from 24 to 27 May 2011. Texprocess will be held parallel to Techtextil, International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens. The conceptual partner of Texprocess is VDMA Garment and Leather Technology.

Elgar Straub, General Manager of VDMA Garment and Leather Technology: “The new concept of Texprocess demonstrates that moving the fair to Frankfurt is the right move. With its worldwide sales network and expertise in organising trade fairs for the textile sector, Messe Frankfurt offers ideal prerequisites for a powerful international trade fair. By taking this step, we will boost the innovative strength of international suppliers of technology for garment processing. At the same time, holding Texprocess concurrently with Techtextil means we will have moved closer to the expanding market for technical textiles, something we have wanted for many years.”

Texprocess will take place in Halls 4.0, 5.0, 5.1, 6.0 and 6.1 of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre, in the immediate vicinity of Techtextil, which will occupy Halls 4.1, 3.0 and 3.1.

Manufacturers of products for design, cutting, CAD/CAM, information technology and quality assurance will present their latest products and services in Hall 4.0. Halls 5.0, 5.1 and 6.1 are reserved for the joining, sewing and embroidery product groups. In these exhibition halls, visitors will find manufacturers of sewing technology, embroidery machines, needles, yarns and accessories.

New section: Sourcing
The focus of attention in Hall 6.1 will be on sourcing. There, contract manufacturers from all over the world will make presentations showing their technical facilities and expertise and thus give international fashion brands the chance to obtain a comprehensive overview of new factories for their collections. Companies wishing to exhibit in the Sourcing area must meet strict criteria. With this innovative approach, Messe Frankfurt aims to guarantee a high standard of quality and ensure the sourcing area is of great interest to visitors.

Moving down the textile value chain leads to Hall 6.0 and manufacturers of products for finishing, dressing, waste disposal, climate, energy and recycling. Also in this hall will be companies working in the fields of international material flows and textile logistics.

Texprocess will occupy a total of 50,000 square metres of exhibition space (gross) and be aimed at an audience from the fields of garment manufacturing, textile processing, technical-textile processing, trade, handicrafts, services and science and training. Around 50,000 trade visitors are expected to attend Texprocess and Techtextil, which will open its doors from 24 to 26 May 2011.
