Mills with gas connections not exempted from load shedding

The electricity utility service provider in Pakistan had recently announced that a few mills would be exempted from load-shedding particularly those which draw power from independent feeders.

However according to Mr Faraz Alam, Director of Alam Cotton Mills, who spoke to fiibre2fashion, said, "Those mills who have gas connections have not been exempted from the power outages".

"These mills make up for more than 70 percent of all the mills and along with which the gas supply is also cut off for one day in a week, without making alternative electricity arrangements", he added by saying.
