With an enjoyable entertainment programm and lots of international guests on March 23rd 2010 the official opening of the new twisting plant AMANN Twisting (Yancheng) as well as the ground-breaking of the soonto-be production site AMANN Sewing Threads (Yancheng) took place.

Numerous guests from inland and overseas had been invited, governmental respresentatives of the province and of Yancheng as well as representatives from 'YEDZ (Yancheng Economic Development Zone)' amongst them.

The opening ceremony took place directly in the halls of AMANN Twisting (Yancheng).

After the address of welcome to the guests by General Manager Mr. Bernfried Rosery, the symbolic starting shot was given by AMANN GROUP CFO Mr. Wolfgang Findeis and Mr. DingYu, Member of Standing CPC Municipal Committee of Yancheng City. Then the common round tour gave all guests the opportunity to get to know more about the current state of technology as well as production plans and logistics.

To realize this step in the planned time table was only possible due to the very successful support and good cooperation of all international AMANN colleagues. Started in 2005 as market study, the idea became a project very soon in 2006. With the signing of the contract for 'YEDZ' the first milestone was realised in 2008. Almost exactly one year after that, AMANN Twisting (Yancheng) could initiate the first pre-winders on October 6th 2009.

AMANN Twisting (Yancheng) comes with a production and storage area of 16.100 sqm and more than 1.000 sqm of offices. The yearly production capacity is 3.000 t with a planned number of employees of 350.

After having achieved the first goal of the China project the focus concentrates now on the coming steps. Yet during the construction phase of the twisting plant in 2009, AMANN deals with the realization of an own dyehouse and make-up section, AMANN Sewing Threads (Yancheng), which will also be built in 'YEDZ', not far from the twisting plant. If the new site can start its production in January 2011, as planned, the AMANN GROUP will be able to serve the Asian market individually and just-in-time from station China. That's just one of the numerous services AMANN can provide its Asian customers with the installation of a fully integrated production.

The ground-breaking of AMANN Sewing Threads (Yancheng) was celebrated on the new site area directly after the opening of the twisting plant. The ceremony was all about the changing weather but the continuing rain – which is commonly a sign of luck in Chinese culture – couldn't stop the festivities.

Protected by umbrellas and rain capes the guests were welcomed once again by AMANN GROUP COO Mr. Jörg Bauersachs and CEO Mr. Bodo Th. Boelzle as well as Mr. DingYu, who officially layed the foundation stone of the new production site directly afterwards.
