Worsted yarn prices decline

In the previous week, trade volume in Puyuan wool yarn market continued to reduce, but wool acrylic yarn market enlarged its trade volume with improved price, while domestic worsted yarn declined in price level and other categories were temporarily stable.
The products in which transactions mainly took place were cashmere and imitated rabbit hair yarn. Prices of cashmere 28s stood at 29,200 Yuan / ton and cashmere 2x36s was 30,200 Yuan / ton.
The prices of most of the Australian wool knotless yarn remained basically unchanged, while demand decreased. Trade volume of Chinese worsted yarn was steady on the week, but trade price started a dropping trend.
Australian acrylic yarn was steady both in volume and price, of which, Australian wool and acrylic blended yarn 30:70 42s still had small demand, its price was at 44,100 Yuan / ton.
From the view of whole market turnover, sweater market featured a falling trend, demand from downstream wool yarn sector appeared slow, the market is expected to further shrink in trade volume next week, overall market price estimated to be stable.
