Daily round-up of Asian nylon value-chain

In Chinese market, Caprolactam prices remained stable around RMB 21,200 / ton, while upstream market continued to have corrections. Due to uncertain future trend, market speculators were continuing to avoid trading. In last seven days price drop in Caprolacam was around 3.7 percent.

In the beginning of this week, Nylon chips prices dropped by RMB 500 / ton but since last two days the prices remain steady at RMB 23500 / ton. Market traders still expect fall in Nylon chip prices and followed wait and watch stance.

Nylon POY, FDY and DTY prices remained stable around RMB 26900 / ton, RMB 28000 / ton and RMB 29600 / ton respectively. Nylon Filament yarn price drop was negligible in comparison to its upper stream products. Filament yarn manufacturers have started buying raw material with an improved profit margin.
