'Jo-Mar Spinning', a South Carolina textile company intends to start new spinning and
twisting operations in a vacant mill in Belmont. With such an opening, the textile company will offer jobs to around 100 people.

These operations are likely to start in the former Helms Plant, which had witnessed closure last year when R.L. Stowe Mills went out of business, said Richard Boyce, Mayor, Belmont.

Expressing delight over the new commencement, Boyce said that, the opening of new spinning and twisting operations was good news among all the news about mill closures. He further expected that, this might be continued for the future.

The initial recruitments for this spinning and twisting operations have started with a job fair.
