During the first five months of 2010, Tunisia's textile and apparel exports recorded a rise of 4.1 percent as against the corresponding period last year.
As per data released by the Tunisia's Technical Textile Centre (CETTEX) during the initial days of this month, imports have also risen by 9.2 percent during the period under consideration.
While exports for France rose by merely 0.6 percent, for Spain it increased by 31.3 percent, 7 percent surge for Great Britain and 9 percent for Netherlands.
But exports to Germany and Belgian plummeted by 6.6 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively.
Imports from Portugal recorded an increment by 53.9 percent, and China, Spain and Turkey imports went up by 48 percent, 30.8 percent and 19.95 percent, respectively. Also, imports from the French market slumped by 0.17 percent.
