Fulltech Fibre Glass, a PCB material supplier, anticipates the fibre glass fabric and yarn prices to remain high in the latter six months of the current year, though the market analysts predicted that, the channel demand is likely to become weak in the third quarter, said the company Chairman, Chang Pen-Hsao.
A number of short lead time orders increased the prices of fiber glass yarn G75 to US $2 per kg during early July over US $1.95 per kg in late June, said Chang, who expects that, the yarn prices will stay high during the rest of the third quarter.
The quote of 7628 fibre glass fabrics is still high, at around US $1 per meter, in the first week of July as that of in late June, he added. The second fibre glass fabric furnace of Fulltech will be on commercial front this month, after two months of its original schedule on account of a delay of an assessment of the environmental impact of the plant.
