The textile industry in the province of Tlaxcala is supporting the candidature of the gubernatorial candidate Adriana Dávila Fernandez, on assurances from her that she will support the development of the textile sector in the state.
Recently a textile enterprise was opened in the province, which has generated employment for 30 people, due to support from Fernandez. The owner of the firm hopes that Fernandez will win the July 4 election, so that the sector will receive the much needed boost in Tlaxcala.
Adriana Fernandez on her part said that the textile industry is the identity of Tlaxcala, so it is important to inject economic resources, so that products can be marketed in other states and even in other overseas markets.
She stressed on the importance of granting credits to businesses, where the state government will act as a surety, so that they may purchase machinery and up-grade their technology, which allows them to improve the quality of their products.
She said that her goal will be to put the state, amongst the top five economies in the country, hence, it was important to revive the textile industry, tourism sector and trade and processing industry, which could generate more jobs for Tlaxcala.
