PTA plant of Mitsui to face outage in September

A purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant, managed and operated by the Japan based, Mitsui Chemicals is expected to undertake a maintenance turnaround in September for a period of two weeks.
An official spokesperson of Mitsui Chemicals informed fibre2fashion that the PTA plant located in Iwakuni with a capacity of 400,000 tons per annum will be taken off-stream from the first week of September.
As per the schedule, the PTA plant is likely to shutdown from September 6 to 17, 2010. He further informed that, since January 2010, the plant is running at full production capacity.
