Exports & imports of cotton yarn up in 2010

China's cotton yarn imports registered 82,500 tons in June 2010, down 12.22 percent from the previous month, but up 12.27 percent year on year, according to the latest Customs statistics.

On the other hand, exports of cotton yarn stood at 58,100 tons, a growth of 0.36 percent from the previous month, and 4.88 percent year on year in the month of June 2010.

From January to June 2010, China's total cotton yarn imports reached 561,500 tons, up 20.56 percent year on year and total exports of cotton yarn realized 294,900 tons, up 15.82 percent.

Total cotton yarn imports completed 940,300 tons during Sept 2009 - June 2010, up 35.22 percent year on year and exports of cotton yarn fetched 476,200 tons, up 22.09 percent.
