CPL & nylon chips continue upward trend

In Chinese market, Caprolactam price continue to follow upward trend. The price moved up by RMB 400 / ton and new price assessed around 20700 / ton. However, its upstream product prices remained stable.
In the month of June, China imported 51,925 tons of CPL, a small decline of 2,285 tons from the previous month. In Asia, spot price offers increased to $2,400 / ton and deals were reported around $2,330 / ton.
In Chinese market, nylon chips price moved up by RMB 100 / ton and new price were quoted at around RMB 22000 / ton. In China, chip inventories of suppliers have started to decline and the present level is around 21 days.
This has happened due to limited stock against favorable sales. In Asia some small and incorporated chip producers are still maintaining their production output at around 80 to 90 percent.
Prices of Nylon POY, FDY and DTY prices remained stable around RMB 24800 / ton, RMB 25800 / ton and RMB 28200 / ton respectively. As new orders are expected to remain seasonally low, speculators are not expected to indulge in any buying activity in the near term.
