The restart of an aromatics plant operated by PT Pertamina, Indonesia, has been delayed, according to a spokesperson of the company.
The plant which is located in Central Java has a production capacity to manufacture 100,000 tons of benzene and 270,000 tons of paraxylene per annum.
According to the spokesperson who spoke to fibre2fashion said, “The plant had been taken off-stream for a routine maintenance in the second week of July and was to resume operations in the second week of August”.
The spokesperson added by saying that, “However, the plant has now been rescheduled for restarting on August 27”.
