PX rises, PTA plunges, MEG prices stable

Paraxylene increased by US $5 in S E Asian market and rose to above $975-980 / ton, whereas in Korean markets, PX prices declined to $960 / ton. For October and November delivery price stood at $960 / ton and $955 / ton, respectively.
PTA price plunged down in S E Asian market mainly in the range of $895-900 / ton. Cargoes imported from S E Asian region, were traded around $900 / ton. PTA market outlook is expected to maintain consolidation trend.
Ethylene market softened and price declined to $957 / ton, with minor correction of $5. In European market, price of ethylene was stable in the range of $1020-1025 / ton but in US market, price declined by 1.25 cents / pound to 33.6 cents / pound.
MEG price was more or less stable around $810 / ton. MEG offers were in the range of $810-815 / ton in the S E Asian market, but deals were concluded around $810 / ton. MEG sellers were looking for big volume deals. In Chinese domestic market, price was in the range of RMB 6500-6550 / ton.
