The latest data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information reveals that, China's textile industry maintained good operational conditions from January to July, with both domestic and overseas sales booming.
Profits of the textile industry continued to grow. From January to July this year, textile and clothing industry realized an annual growth of 52.2 percent, of which, growth rate in July was 38.4 percent.
Data also shows that, overall exports of the textile industry were nearly restored to the levels attained before the international financial crisis unfolded in the second half of 2008.
From January to July this year, China's exports of textile yarn and fabrics reached US $42.839 billion, up 32.8 percent year on year; while exports of apparel and clothing accessories touched $66.827 billion, up 17.4 percent year on year.
