Trade appreciates Business Networking Forum at Yarnex

For Mr Raj Kapadia, General Manager – Sales, Sanathan Textiles Pvt Ltd., Mumbai, this event gave them a good platform to enter into the South Indian market, he said. “We got healthy inquiries here,” said Mr Raj Kumar, Vice President (Marketing), Girnar Hosiery Works, Ludhiana. “We had a good flow of quality visitors,” was what Mr Arindam Mukherjee, Sales Officer, AI Chamnpdany India Ltd., Kolkata, had to say. “We had mill owners as well as buying agents including buyers from Iran, Turkey and some European countries who were interested in our products,” said Ms Nikita Tyagi, Manager - Marketing, BST Textile Mills Pvt Ltd., Mumbai. “We could meet the kind of people we were looking for.”

“We got very mixed visitors, mostly focussed and as per our expectation,” said Dr Himadri Ghosh, Director, HG Designs, Ahmedabad, who was a first time exhibitor at this show. “We were getting only serious customers and we hope to convert many of them into business soon,” was what Mr G. P. Ramesh, DGM, Viable Central Asia Exim Pvt Ltd., Bangalore had to say.

“The show is good,” said Mr Ramesh Hariharan, Managing Director, Zoluzen, Bangalore, a backend supplier for yarn to countries in Africa, especially Ghana. “I was able to collect a few useful contacts here.” he said.

Ms Gizen Demet Gulsen, International Projects Coordinator, Evkan Marketing and Trade Ltd., Turkey, noted that the show was nice. “It did help me. The vendors were quite helpful, good and sufficient,” she said. “The purpose for which I came here has been served.”

“This was a good exhibition,” said Mr P. Putshottam, Managing Director, Neeraj Enterprises (P) Ltd., Tirupur. “The displays from Lenzing, besides the Pakistan and Chinese exhibitors were something new and interesting for me. I got a lot of information and was able to identify products we were looking for specifically.”

“This show was real useful for me,” was what Mr R. Kannan, Managing Director, Titus Exports had to say. “I placed a Rs 20 lakh order with a vendor right at this show,” he exclaimed.

Yarnex 2010 attracted 3,352 visitors who came in from all corners of India as well as countries like Iran, Turkey, and Europe. All of them were senior decision makers like managing directors, directors, partners, general managers, senior merchandizers and the like. They also attended the Business Networking Forum, which discussed on contemporary issues facing the industry at large.

Dates for the next edition of Yarnex 2011 has already been finalized. They are September 2 to 4, 2011 at the same venue.
