Venezuela, the country which finds a place amongst the world's leading oil exporters, has requested Turkey, to extend support in various areas, right from textiles to ICT. T
he South American country with 27 million inhabitants, which greatly depends on external suppliers for food, imports around 70 percent of the same from overseas countries.
The country's Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Temir Porras, is now on a visit to Turkey with a team of delegates, seeking collaboration with the Turkish companies primarily functioning in the food and textile sector.
Meanwhile, the delegation is also hunting for cooperation in the fields of construction and ICT.
The Venezuelan trade delegation also has representatives of PDVAL and Mercal, leading retail chains in the country as its members. The delegation is mainly focusing on seeking investments from Turkey.
