A new era has begun. Sustainability has become the byword of a new business generation. Lenzing therefore adopts a deeper approach to meet new challenges: Green 2.0. Web 2.0 is broadening internet communication, Lenzing's Green 2.0 deepens a wide spectrum of relationships based on communication. In an era of simultaneous and non-hierarchical information flow, communication must be open and honest.

Lenzing creates sustainable relations with its diverse business partners and a variety institutions, in all directions, at all levels:

Sustainable relationships with ecological research institutes
Lenzing was the first fiber producer to commission an independent and scientific product life cycle analysis. In a cooperation with the university of Utrecht Lenzing fibers were compared with polyester, polyamides and cotton. The conclusive results show that Lenzing's fiber production consumes up to ten times less water than cotton and does not take any land away from food production. Numerous other cooperation initiatives with environmental organizations prove Lenzing to be the key driver in this field.

Sustainable cooperation in technology
Close cooperation with manufacturers of equipment and chemicals position Lenzing fibers and create an optimized framework for efficiently communicating global processing expertise.

Sustainable business relationships
Cooperation across company barriers, such as with other fiber producers, creates new product concepts and fresh impulse for the industry. This leads to a broader customer perception of joint product innovations.

Sustainable customer relations
A fiber producer must utilize the full value-creation chain. Lenzing's intensive exchange with all stages of the textile chain builds the best supply chain possible for its customers. Close contact ensures optimum processing conditions for perfect end products.

Sustainable fiber innovation
Lenzing is the only company producing and continually enhancing all cellulose fibers generations. The company, moreover, sets landmarks in fiber technology.

Sustainable research
Close cooperation with research institutes continuously creates deeper understanding of Lenzing fiber properties. Physiological studies and performance tests in skin sensorics, moisture management, performance enhancement and sleep quality deliver powerful arguments for new Lenzing fiber applications.
