NTC launches survey on textile duty drawback

National Tariff Commission (NTC) has launched a survey on 'Impact of Deemed Imports Duty Drawback on Textiles Export' in Pakistan. Explicatory notes containing directions to provide necessary assistance to NTC have already been dispatched to the textile exporters.

NTC has six months time to prepare a report on whether deemed import drawbacks were justifiable in view of the losses that the industry suffered on account of rising cost of carrying on business, which is basically because of security situation, from the findings.

All industry persons have been directed to fill in necessary details in prescribed forms and submit the same within 15 days, to help NTC to prepare a report containing stakeholder's perspective regarding implication of such deemed import duty drawbacks can be prepared in time.
