Paraxylene prices continued to move ahead with inclination of 45 degree. PX remained firm in S E Asian markets; offer price surged to benchmark level of US $1200 / ton. In European market, price of PX was in the range of $1120 / ton.
PTA market was firm too, in tandem with upstream. In S E Asian market, price of PTA was quoted in the range of $1130-1135 / ton. Offers for cargoes imported from Korean region were around $10350-1045 / ton.
Ethylene price was stable at $1077 / ton. In S E Asian market, it was recorded around $1080 / ton. In Japanese market, ethylene stood at around $1120-1130 / ton. In European market, ethylene price hovered around $1085 / ton. In European domestic market, it was around €910 / ton.
MEG trading price increased marginally in S E Asian market in the range of $960-965 / ton. Downstream buyers still tried to pull down the price below $960 / ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG traded around RMB 8100 / ton, which was offered in the range of RMB 8200-8300 / ton
