In 2011 the snowboard, skate, and surfwear label Zimtstern is bringing its first bikewear on the market. Besides function and style the collection is characterised by ecological sustainability.
Zimtstern's quality requirements call for low-pollutant textiles, an eco-friendly production, and a sensible use of resources. As a consequence, all their functional items of the new collection are bluesign certified.
The Swiss brand Zimtstern was founded in 1995 by Thomas Meyer and Reto Kuster – their aim: creating a new European style in snowboard wear. One of the first Swiss snowboard labels is the result of the common passion for snowboarding. Soon the company expanded beyond the Swiss border. Zimtstern is showing functional and innovative snowboard, street, and now also bike wear as well as accessories for active, demanding young people.
bluesign technologies has decided to open the criteria of its standard. The result of the development work for years of this unique and holistic standard is published now.
