DOLAN GmbH expands capacity by 10 % of total volume due to increasing demand in all sales regions.

DOLAN GmbH is the leading producer of solution dyed acrylic fibers used in a wide range of outdoor applications requiring high levels of UV resistance, weather fastness and durability. DOLAN GmbH is part of the successful Lenzing Fibers Group head quartered in Austria with worldwide operations in specialty fiber production & marketing.

Demand for DOLAN has risen sharply in 2010 prompting Lenzing to invest in an expansion of the speciality acrylic fiber production at the site in Kelheim Germany. Debottlenecking of both existing production lines has already started & will be completed in the first quarter of 2011.

The expansion represents an investment of approximately €0.5m & will increase DOLAN capacity on the site by approximately 10% to 15,400 tonnes per annum.

DOLAN is a solution-dyed acrylic fiber. In the speciality wet spinning process pigments are injected into the polymer solution before extruding it into fiber. DOLAN can match any customer color requirement and the ISO approved process & quality controls guarantee excellent color consistency & reproducibility.

DOLAN is the ideal fiber for the production of textiles used in garden and furniture fabrics, awnings and sun umbrellas, car tops and boat covers. DOLAN GmbH also produces technical fibers under the brand name Dolanit for applications including hot gas filtration, friction linings and reinforcements for construction materials.
