Oct '10
DyStar, the leading solution provider of Textile Industry with a full range of textile dyes, auxiliaries and services is working closely with textile producers and retail chain. Service centre of DyStar India is dedicated to help in raising the productivity and assure the quality performance of textiles throughout the textile chain.

DyStar Textile Services has started offering full fledged services to Textile Mills. This division conducts process audits through experienced consultants in all areas of wet processing. These process audits bring in an insight by assessing quantifiable process efficiencies at all levels. The wing also supports the process houses in implementing the recommendations to improve the key-performance indicators such as Water,Energy, Production and Productivity etc.

Experts will also provide customized training to help manufacturers in getting the benefit of improved quality and brand integrity through Colour Confidence, higher productivity through controlled coloration, innovative products and technologies. Production-related ecological issues can also be addressed.

Talking on this Mr. Gopalakrishnan – MD of KTP, Coimbatore – says that "the finding of the Audit by Expert Solutions was an eye opener. By virtue of implementation of the recommendations, we were able to increase our consistency of production from 92% to 95% even hitting 97%. Apart from increasing productivity and quality, there was focus also to reduce resources like water; in the July month, average consumption of water was only 40.6 litres/kg and the effluent values have considerably reduced which in turn reduce their maintenance costs by increasing the life of RO."

Mr. Ashutosh Raina – Senior Vice President, Manufacturing of Morarjee Textiles Limited – comments: “Expert Solutions have helped us to drastically improve the efficiency of our yarn dye-house. Vat dyeing is normally associated with some specific issues, as each dye in itself has a specific characteristic, for which most of the yarn dyers do not have any clear solutions. Thanks to "Expert Solutions”, they have not only reeducated our personnel to understand the intricacies of dyeing, but also made them aware of the coloration technology with Vat as well as Reactive Dyes.

All steps to improve the efficiency of the dye-house suggested by Expert Solutions, that had been implemented at the plant and monitored in detail by the corporate management, yielded the following results:
- Water consumption in our dye-house has gone down by approx 20%.
- Re-dyeing has drastically reduced to a less than 8%.
- Substantial reduction in utilities consumed per unit of dyed yarn.

Although our cost of dyes and chemicals has more or less remained the same, the savings in water consumption, utilities, reduction of re-dyeing, corrections and increase in production are in themselves a tremendous savings to us."

Mr. Manish Dobariya – Asst. Manager, JCT Filament Ltd.,Hoshiarpur – says: “We are using online ColorXPT Enterprise Software from DyStar. We got benefits like saving of dyes, chemicals, utility, etc. and they directly affected our conversation cost. It is coming down by approx 25%. Also with the help of ColorXPT we had decreased dyeing process time by approx 40%. As per above mentioned, we got savings with the help of DyStar Software”.
