The EU anti-dumping committee last month announced anti-dumping sanction on three products of high tenacity polyester yarn and PET plastic, made in China.

According to the latest data from China Commerce of Minister, China suffered 48 trade remedy investigations from 17 countries and regions from January to August this year, the total amount of money involved was US $6.48 billion.

In 2009, Chinese exports were subjected to 116 trade remedy investigations, involving a total amount of about US $12.7 billion. Trade war against China is getting worse.
Among them, the petroleum and chemical industries have been advised to be vigilant in particular.

Since 2005, the EU has been a main export area for China's exports of high-tenacity polyester yarn. High strength polyester yarn has extensive uses, as it is widely used for tire reinforcement, woven fabrics, belts and seat belts and in other fields.

In this final anti-dumping ruling of high tenacity polyester yarn, the EU has increased its unified tax rate on imports to 14.3 percent. The EU markets accounted for 27.52 percent of Chinese exports in 2005, which increased to 41.60 percent in 2009.
