One of the largest textile exporters in the world, Taiwan, known for its innovative and functional fabrics, is all set to touch the Indian textile industry again with their annual Taiwan Textile Fair 2010 in India.

Taiwan Textile Fair has been organised in India for over 8 years now. Last year the fair had generated US$ 1,500,000 worth of business. After looking at the response and the success, this time the Taiwanese companies are looking at doing 20% more business as compared to last year. Annually, on an average the Textile companies generate business close to US$ 8,200,000 from India.
On this fair, Ms Jennifer Liu - Project Manager Taiwan Textile Federation said – “Export market and the huge Domestic market is a great attraction for us and we see India as an ever growing market. Every year we come down to meet big format retailers, leading domestic brands and exporters. Like every year, we plan to make new ties and long association with the some of the best in Indian textile industry.”
To meet Taiwanese companies, some of the leading ones being ShinKong Synthetic Fibers, Wisher Industrial, Delicacy Industrial, Universal Textile and Wu Tong Industrial, major Indian Buyers are visiting the fair such as Gokuldas Images Pvt. Ltd, Karle Group, Madura Garments, Arvind Mills, Landmark Group and Mandana, to name a few, to broadbase their manufacturing and export base.
The Taiwan Textile Fair India 2010 is being organized by the Taiwan Textile Federation and the Bureau of Foreign Trade. This year the fair will commence in Bangalore and will then take place in Mumbai and Gurgaon.
The Taiwan Textile Fair 2010 will help witness a variety of products ranging from Knitted Fabrics (Jacquard, Lace, Mesh, Jersey), Sporting Socks, Functional Socks, Stockings, Tights, Panty Hose, Gloves, Tapes, Cotton Grey Fabrics, Cotton Yarn, Children wear, High Performance Woven Fabrics for casual sports, Functional Fabrics for Outdoor & Sportswear, Woven Fabrics for casual & city wear, Poly yarn dyed, Nylon Yarn dyed, Zipper, Slider, Zipper Making Machine to Interlinings.
