Unifi branches out in El Salvador

Unifi, a manufacturer of multifilament polyester and nylon textured yarn, based in Greensboro, has set up a manufacturing plant in EI Salvador. As the plant begins its operation on December 2, it would generate employment opportunities for around 175 people.
With the expansion of its manufacturing activities into Central America, the firm would be in a better position to serve and support its domestic customers. The expansion is also looked upon as a means to facilitate the company to provide improved regional and international sourcing solutions to its expanding customer base.
The new facility in EI Salvador would be established with eight texturing and 27 twisting machines.
