Wool firm chief heaps praise on Prince Charles

The chief of a Bradford based wool company has hailed Prince Charles as a saviour for the wool textiles sector as the wool campaign initiated by the Prince, has brought a breath of fresh air in to the sector.

Simon Curtis, Joint Managing Director of Curtis Wools Direct is investing quite a big amount in expanding operations of his company on the back of the promotion campaign and resurgence in the wool textiles industry.

Simon plans to increase combing capacity to 100 tons per week, which is nearly double the current capacity and will help generate employment opportunities for between 10 to 20 people.

Speaking to fibre2fashion, Simon articulated, “We are very strong supporters for the campaign of wool and what the Prince has single-handedly brought to the campaign with his support, is world wide recognition to the wool industry”.

Revealing his expansion plans, he said, “We are investing a considerable amount of money in our plants at Bradford which would be the largest wool faring company of this type in the world and we are bringing in new Scouring and Combing machinery as we have a lot of confidence in the future of the business over here”.

He further informed, “The wool industry is undergoing something of a revival at this moment. Wool prices are rising and increase in demand of wool products particularly in the United Kingdom are very much, anticipated at the moment”.
