Recent floods sweep away cotton crops in Queensland

Extensive damage has been caused to cotton crops as a result of the recent floods that affected the central and southern areas of Queensland.
In the central part of Queensland, cotton crops grown along the Comet River in the east of Emerald has been totally flooded.
Flood waters have been gushing into the cotton fields since the past few days and it has reached its highest level, thereby inundating the cotton crops in most of the farms.
