The South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCI), Man-Made Textiles Research Association (MANTRA) and Indian Technical Textiles Association (ITTA) are jointly organizing a one-day seminar titled “Technical Textiles: Emerging Growth and Opportunities” at the Taj Gateway Hotel, Surat on December 23, 2010.

The seminar is being organized under the patronage of the office of the Textile Commissioner, Mumbai. The area of the papers to be presented and discussed will be a roadmap for market development, technological advancement in technical textiles machinery and to explore enormous potential in the field of technical textiles.

A array of eminent speakers have been lined up who include experts from the manufacturing sector, raw material suppliers, machinery manufacturers, consultants and researchers from R&D institutes. They will share their knowledge and skills on technology and markets, to deliver a complete insight on the ever-changing global scenario.

By participating, you will get to know more about latest technologies, raw materials, machineries and the most up-to-date know-how in the field of technical textiles. You will also be able to know the potential, opportunities and strategies to be employed to succeed in this sector. The seminar will especially focus on the Indian markets and the growth potential.

The estimates of the current growth rate of the Indian technical textiles market is 8 percent and is expected to grow by more than 14 percent per annum, year-on-year, atleast for the next five years. While the market in the technical component of clothing, packing fabrics and industrial textiles is significant, however, the growth potential in areas of geo-textiles, protective fabrics and environmental textiles is still significant.

If you are already in to production of technical textiles or are planning a foray in to this emerging and promising segment of textiles, this is a seminar you cannot miss. So, mark December 23, 2010 in your calendar.
