Heimtextil Russia 2010, International Trade Fair for Home Textiles, Floor Coverings and Interior Furnishings, took place from 14 - 16 September, uniting leading local and foreign manufacturers and major industry players in Moscow at the Crocus Expo international Exhibition Centre. A part of the world-renowned German, Heimtextil exhibition brand, Heimtextl Russia has been held in Moscow for 12 years. Each time it has proven its leadership in the field of interior textile decoration and its status of a unique scheduled business event for the market professionals. Heimtextil Russia 2010 was no exception.

With products and designs of 272 leading producers from 22 countries, Heimtextil Russia 2010 covered the entire product range for home textiles, fabrics and textiles for interior decoration - from bedroom and kitchen to window decoration and upholstery. 14,072 professional visitors filled the halls, attracted by the latest designs and trends in an international setting. A strong showing of eight National Pavilions from China, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, Portugal, Spain and Turkey confirms Heimtextil Russia as an international meeting point for the industry.

Eugen Alles, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt RUS, said: "The positive results of Heimtextil Russia 2010 show that the market is successfully recovering from the recession and has started its upward trend. The success of the fair is for sure a solid basis for future development and we are confident that the next edition of Heimtextil Russia will become even more positive for our customers and partners".

"Heimtextil Russia is a strong player in the market of interior decoration and home textiles. The results of its 12th edition prove the positive economic upswing after the crisis year with the increased interest of professional buyers and overseas producers in the fair. Heimtextil Russia 2010 shows the best presentations of each participant and also offers a business platform for inspiration and information about the coming trends and news", as was pointed out by Olaf Schmidt, Vice President of Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

An extensive complementary program implemented by Russian and European designers and architects.

Heimtextil Russia has always been accompanied by special shows, workshops, lectures and master classes, introducing topical issues of the market, latest tendencies and development trends. In keeping with this tradition, Heimtextil Russia presented several significant events at the 2010 show.

For the first time, the German design-bureau Goldberg Consulting created the area Lifestyle Trends - The value of things. The project called Project WEISSGOLD showed a realisation of the latest color, textile and lifestyle trends inspired by the Heimtextil Trends "Uni(re)verse", presenting fabrics and ready-made goods to a large audience in an exquisite setting. The trend area included three sections: Global Design & Trends, Global Conference and Global Edutainment. Project WEISSGOLD was supported by partners, such as Knauf, Corian by DuPont, ArtCor, Kaldewei, Dornbracht, Glass Design, Schattdecor, Möve, Missoni Home, Ikea, Schüco, Eccokna, Caparol and Baltschug Kempinski. Goldberg Consulting, inspired by the city of Moscow, successfully incorporated the feel of the city into the creative lifestyle area.
