KARL MAYER has successfully been active on the Brazilian market for a long time now, also using national expert symposia in order to increase its local presence. One of these actions was the event „German Technology for the Brazilian Industry – Conference & Exhibition"organized by the German Plant and Machinery Association (VDMA).
The world market leader in warp-knitting machines and warp preparation systems took part in this multi-day specialist event by presenting a paper on the latest developments in the weaving preparation sector, and was satisfied with the results of its participation.
„Our lecture on the manufacture of short warps and sample warps was well received", explained KARL MAYER's speaker Kurt Michael Forster. „Especially the short-warp sizing technology enjoyed a lively response from the public", he added. After his presentation, the experienced sales manager had a lot of interesting and promising discussions with prospective customers, and was able to prepare certain projects – a success which is rather the exception.
The VDMA Conference took place from 3 to 4 November in São Paulo and from 8 to 9 November in Blumenau, thus, being the right event in the right places, but unfortunately not at the right time. Due to the Formula-One racing in São Paulo which took place at the same time and because of a public holiday, the participation of the companies was altogether disappointing, in spite of VDMA's good organization of this event.
