Cotton prices up in electronic matching market

On January 04, transactions through electronic matching trade market on China National Cotton Exchange (CNCE) reached 6,140 tons, down 10,480 tons compared with the previous day.
The match market opened sharply lower on the day, and then slightly rose amid volatility, driven by domestic stock market and all contracts closed at the highest point of the day.
Main contract MA1103 closed at 27,780 Yuan, up 47 Yuan, contract MA1101 closed at 28,050 Yuan, up 97 Yuan; transactions shrunk dramatically, order quantity continued to reduce.
Contract MA1103 set the lowest price at 27,620 Yuan; while contract MA1105 hit the highest average price at 28,090 Yuan among all contracts.
On January 04, cotton price index in China rose 82 Yuan to 27,516 Yuan.
