'Economic Cooperation Through Textile Trading' theme of ATEXCON

Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) is organizing the fifth Asian Textile Conference (ATEXCON) on 17th and 18th March 2011 in Hotel Trident, Mumbai, India.The theme of the 5th Atexcon is 'Economic Cooperation Through Textile Trading'.

Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) is the apex industry chamber of the textile and allied industries of India. With 21 industry organizations in the sector covered directly by the Confederation and close cooperation with several others, including the Export Promotion Councils, CITI has become the rallying point for the entire industry covering textiles and garments of all fibres and also the textile machinery.

Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) has been organizing an annual event called Asian Textile Conference (Atexcon) from 2005 onwards. Atexcon brings together the lead players of Asian textile industry and their global input suppliers and service providers to deliberate on capacity building, innovations in technology, trade and business opportunities and other regional as well as global issues concerning this sector.

Carrying forward the vibrant business cooperation generated in the previous ATEXCONs, CITI is organizing the fifth Asian Textile Conference (ATEXCON) on 17th and 18th March 2011 in Hotel Trident, Mumbai.

Day: 2, 18th March 2011

4. Textile Raw Materials : Today and Tomorrow

Speakers and participants have been invited from all countries involved in textiles, clothing, textile machinery and allied products as well as trade in these products. Some of the eminent speakers who have confirmed their presence includes EURATEX, Japan Textile Federation (JTF), Korea Federation of Textile Industries (KOFOTI), Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), VDMA, Germany, International Cotton Association (ICA), Centre for Enterprise, Trade & Development, Pakistan, Monsanto, Rieter, Technopak, Bayer Crop Science, etc.

Rieter India Pvt. Ltd., Bayer CropScience, Monsanto and Lenzing AG are sponsoring the event.
