Head of Govt to address key textile issues

President Asif Ali Zardari will be presiding over a meeting to be held today in order to discuss several problems which are being confronted by the textile industry. The meeting will mostly focus on matters associated with agriculture and energy.
The Chairman of All Pakistan Textiles Mills Association (APTMA), Ministries of Textiles, Agriculture, Commerce and Petroleum will take part in the meeting to be held in the Pakistani Presidency, today.
The Pakistani President has called this meeting immediately after the one held on February 11 between the President and APTMA in order to discuss the elements that are influencing the cotton production in the country.
The meeting also intends to discuss various means by which energy could be made available to the rapidly developing textile sector.
