Texworld is daring! Immediate buying, a range of products showcased to their best advantage and a noticeable increase in the level of business.

13,897 visitors passed through the aisles during this Texworld show.

We noticed an increase in visitors from America, Canada, Chile and Columbia as well as from Scandinavian and Asian countries in general. A drop in attendance by Egyptians, Greeks and Australians: reflecting the current global situation.

The show's new segmentation has allowed visitors to quickly identify suppliers in the range they are looking for. "It's an exhibition that continues to develop with each show and the range of exhibitors grows in terms of quality. It's the opportunity to meet our usual suppliers and to discover new products, which will be incorporated into our future collections", said Benedetta Grani, in charge of menswear and womenswear at Guess.

The major trends for the 2012 spring/summer season are:
cotton, despite a rise in prices, is very much present in the exhibitors' collections, linen ever present with new wash grades and natural or reworked silk. Good results too for denim where Troficolor, the Portuguese manufacturer, has diversified their range, which extends from the fabric to the finished product.

Indian exhibitors attended in large numbers with collections of very imaginative embroidery, which are in great demand for the coming couture and ready-to-wear collections. "We have come to present our age-old skills to meet current demand on the European market" is the explanation given by several exhibitors, for whom the show has proved to be "very positive".

Ecological textiles continue their breakthrough into the world of textiles. "This still remains a marginal product, but we observe a steady increase from season to season, which demonstrates that there is a fine future awaiting eco-friendly textiles" says Salamat Ali, Marketing Director at the Pakistani producer Sapphire.

The partnerships between Texworld and the Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the AICP, Académie Internationale de Coupe de Paris and Esmod Paris have had a strong impact on visitors and exhibitors, who were very interested in the collaboration.

"Messe France is very satisfied with this season's exhibition. The show welcomed visitors in surroundings conducive to creativity, thanks to the outstanding work of our Artistic Directors, who have been able to lend a purely fashion touch by making Texworld a preeminent show for professionals in the textiles sector who are looking for high-quality or even exceptional textiles" commented Michael Scherpe, the President of Messe Frankfurt France.

The next Texworld show will be held at the Paris le Bourget exhibition centre from Monday, 19th to Thursday, 22nd September 2011.
