Jute Productivity Improvement workshop in Pakistan

The International Jute Study Group (IJSG) informed that a two-day workshop on Productivity Improvement in the Jute Industry will be held on 12-13 December, 2005 at the Royal Palm Golf & Country Club, Lahore, Pakistan.
International Jute Study Group (IJSG) in collaboration with Pakistan Jute Mills Association (PJMA) has arranged this workshop.
The objective of holding the workshop is to address the existing problems affecting the productivity in the jute mills and to provide technical and managerial know-how for overall improvements of jute mills including productivity, maintenance and availability of spare parts.
Experts and resource persons from different R&D institutions of India and Bangladesh will present papers focusing on different technical aspects relating to productivity in jute mills with possible improvements based on their experience and research findings.
Machinery Manufacturers will also make presentation introducing their new machines or spare parts and explain the latest developments in the Jute Machinery sector.
Topics included for the discussion are: Jute Mill Productivity Improvement- Detail Process Study, Resource Management in the Jute Industry with Emphasis on Productivity, Bleaching, Dyeing & Finishing Technology on Jute, Role of Training in Productivity, Jute-Geo Textile – Its Type and Related Application and Improvement in Productivity through Induction of New Technology etc.
The International Jute Study Group (IJSG) is an intergovernmental body set up under the aegis of UNCTAD to function as the International Commodity Body (ICB) for Jute, Kenaf and other Allied Fibres.
