Surgical centers get access to fluid-repellant textiles
Feb '11
Custom Linen Solutions (CLS), an Orlando-based provider of textiles and uniforms to healthcare centers, announced that they have taken on a new product line to help their ambulatory surgical center (ASC) customers.

Adequate personal protection equipment (PPE) against infections has always been a high-priority in the medical field. CLS directly addressed their concerns by incorporating a new and innovative technology called Vestex, the latest in protective medical wear.

Vestex scrubs repel blood and bodily fluids while remaining breathable, and contain an anti-microbial to prevent fabric degradation from microorganisms.

“Studies indicate that healthcare workers want barrier protection as a first line of defense against the contaminants they face every day.” says Craig Mayo, president and CEO of CLS. “We are proud to help our customers address their employees' number one concern so they can focus on what they do best – taking care of patients.”

“We applaud Custom Linen Solutions' effort to equip their customers with tools for personal protection. In addition to the day-to-day PPE required in their line of work, Vestex will provide healthcare workers with additional protection against splatters from blood and bodily fluids without increasing compliance steps,” says Ben Favret, president and CEO of Vestagen.

CLS continues to remain at the forefront of their industry by supplying the latest technological advances in the field of protective medical wear to its more than 85 ambulatory surgical center customers throughout the southeast.

Orlando-based Custom Linen Solutions provides linen, textile and uniform rental exclusively for the healthcare industry. Established in 1993, the company focuses on outpatient care, and offers high quality, hygienically processed, technologically advanced uniforms and textiles.
