PTA & MEG prices fall, ethylene up

Paraxylene price remained unchanged in S E Asian region, and stood around US$ 1670/ton due to firm upstream and hovered in the range of US$ 1670/ton to US$ 1675/ton. PX price in Korean market was marked around US$ 1670/ton. In Chinese market, PX price stood in the range of US$ 1665/ton to US$ 1670/ton.

Asian PTA price went down slowly, in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton. Price of PTA in F E Asian region was quoted at US$ 1475/ton. In Indian market, PTA price was quoted around US$ 1480/ton. In Chinese market, price of PTA was assessed in the range of RMB 11500/ton to RMB 11600/ton.

Ethylene price increased in S E Asian market and was assessed in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1290/ton. F E Asian market price was in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1285/ton. In European international and domestic market price was stable at US$ 1465/ton and € 1120/ton, respectively. In U.S.A market, ethylene was around 54.00 cents/pound.

MEG price continued to decline in the global markets. In S E Asian region, MEG prices hovered in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1255/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG was in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1255/ton.

BGPET Chips price remained weak in S E Asian region. It was in the range of US$ 1840/ton to US$ 1845/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers was in the range of US$ 1835/ton to US$ 1850/ton for imported goods.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets were in the range of US$ 1775/ton to US$ 1790/ton. Price in Indian market was assessed in the range of US$ 1765/ton to US$ 1775/ton.
