China exported 215 million meters of gray silk fabrics in 2010, up 3.42 percent year on year. Export value reached US $705 million, an increase of 33.29 percent, while, average unit price was US $ 3.28 / meter, up 28.88 percent.
Export volume of gray silk fabrics accounted for 21.63 percent of China's total exports of silk goods.
Among major export markets, China exported 53.61 million meters to India in 2010, down 14.93 percent. Export value registered $181 million, an increase of 20.13 percent and average unit price was $ 3.37 / meter, up 41.22 percent.
The unit price increase for exports to India was the highest among major markets. Export volume and export value formed a market share of 24.93 percent and 25.65 percent, respectively.
China exported 48.29 million meters to Pakistan in 2010, up 9.95 percent. Export value touched $121 million, an increase of 39.84 percent year on year. Average unit price stood at $2.49 / meter, an increase of 27.18 percent year on year.
China exported 46.58 million meters to Italy in 2010, up 38.45 percent. Export value stood at $159 million, an increase of 71.25 percent year on year for an average unit price of $3.42 / meter, a rise of 23.69 percent.
Among other countries, Korea accounted for 14.01 million meters and Japan 10.33 million meters, down 7.71 percent and 0.63 percent, respectively.
