Polyester filament extends gain from previous week

On March 7, PTA spot price consolidated, MEG price adjusted, prices of semi-dull polyester chips and super bright polyester chip corrected, CDP chip price was stable and PET bottle chip price stabilized.

Prices of acrylic staple fiber 1.5D×38mm and acrylic top 3D×102mm prices increased, CPL price was temporarily stable and nylon 6 chip price corrected.

Sales of polyester filament were good during the last weekend. On Monday, polyester filament market extended rising trend.

DTY ex-factory price from one major factory in Shengze rose by 100-200 Yuan / ton. Quotation of 75D/72F was 21,400 Yuan / ton.

Another major factory raised its prices of some dull DTY products by 200 Yuan / ton. Offers of 50D/72F and 150D/144F were 26,200 Yuan / ton and 19200 Yuan / ton, respectively.

Coarse denier from a plant in Wuxi also rose by 100 Yuan / ton and offer of 50D/48F was 19,200 Yuan / ton.

Market price of polyester staple fiber 1.4D×38mm was 14,900 Yuan / ton and price of viscose staple fiber was 28,400 Yuan / ton.

Pure cotton yarn market conditions changed little, pure polyester yarn market remained steady, and rayon yarn market was weak.

Polyester yarn market was stable. The latest prices of 45s and 50s were 21,500 Yuan / ton and 22,600 Yuan / ton. Sales of rayon yarn 10s and 30s were fair. Rayon yarn market is expected to adjust in the short term.
