Energy savings – USP of French textile machinery

Textile machinery producers from France would attend and display their most modern technology at the Techtextil show, which is to be held in Frankfurt from May 24 to 26.

The French Association of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (UCMTF) said that, they are well aware of the distinctive needs of the technical textile manufacturers and the significance of offering them tailored solutions to cater to their specific needs.

The Association stated that, their prime objective is to help the technical textile producers to design and craft new marketable items in an economical manner, and hence they are persuading their members to participate in the forthcoming Techtextil.

As revealed by CMTF, the French textile machinery producers manoeuvre at offering tailor-made solutions to cater to the needs of their customers and thereby building long-term associations. The strategy best suits the nonwovens and technical textiles industries, with high integration of the machinery producers.

According to UCMTF, France now is the sixth biggest exporter of machinery across the globe, with specialization in nonwovens, weaving preparation, spinning and finishing machinery. The overall turnover of the sector remains slightly above one billion Euros or US$1.3 billion.

Further, UCMTF said that, the new machinery from French producers can help in energy conservation in various manners, like it can be adjusted to perfectly match the energy needs for production process, developing new processes to reduce the energy consumption for individual machines and to optimize the energy consumption of the entire production line.

These notions are not independent, but interdependent. There are many actual instances where these techniques have helped energy conservation to the extent of 30 to 40 percent, and also water conservation beyond this in the dyeing and finishing processes.
