The spot market of China's PTA imports improved slightly on April 11. Current offers for cargo produced in Taiwan were about US $1430-1440/ ton, counteroffers from downstream sector were around US $1410-1415/ ton; actually negotiated price was around US $1420-1430/ ton.
Offers for goods made in South Korea were around US $1420-1425/ ton, downstream bids were about US $1415 / ton, and actually negotiated price was around US $1415-1420 / ton.
Trading sentiment improved slightly and actual discussion was moderate.
Domestic PTA prices in East China increased slightly on April 11, holders made offers up to about 11,250-11,300 Yuan / ton, downstream counteroffers were around 11,150-11,200 Yuan / ton, and actually negotiated price was around 11,250 Yuan / ton.
PTA prices too rose marginally in North China market. But holders were reluctant to sell goods at low price.
Some offers increased to 11,250-11,350 Yuan / ton, downstream bids were around 11,200 Yuan, and actually negotiated price was around 11,250-11,280 Yuan / ton.
