Tempe-based business AzCa Embroidery Inc plans to continue its environmentally conscious business strategy following Earth Day this year. AzCa received the Most Innovative Company of 2010 award at the Imprinted Sportswear Show in Long Beach, California, and its owner, Nathan Milhoan, has taken great strides in promoting his business while keeping the environment in mind.
Milhoan participates in the city's recycling program, and he ordered bamboo shirts for his employees, made from 100% natural materials. Further, AzCa's production team has been using biodegradable material as the backing for embroidery jobs, rather than the standard fabric that simply gets thrown in the trash.
“Embroidery is really one of the most technologically advanced industries out there. If we're going to take these big leaps forward, we have a responsibility to watch our step for the environment's sake,” Milhoan commented.
AzCa Embroidery only works on a contract or wholesale basis and is not available for walk-in or other retail embroidering or screen printing.
