When asked if policy makers in Pakistan could play a role in easing the crisis, he noted, “I think these are market conditions and not due to any policy. I do not think policy makers can basically interfere at the moment. It all depends on exports.
“At the moment, the Chinese buyers are a little quiet and obviously because cotton futures prices are also low, so it is imagined that the over all bull market run for cotton is over. So it's basically very much related to the Chinese buying pattern”, he concluded by saying.
