PTA & PSF continue to fall, MEG bounces back

Paraxylene market prices remained unchanged at US$ 1525/ton, despite of weak energy market. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1525/ton and US$ 1530/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1530/ton to US$ 1535/ton. In Chinese market price went down to US$ 1530/ton.

In S E Asian markets, PTA continued to decline, around US$ 1205/ton in Asian market. In Chinese market, PTA price opened around RMB 9500/ton, but trading price hovered in between RMB 9600/ton to RMB 9700/ton. In Asian market, PTA price declined to US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1210/ton.

Ethylene price remained stable to weak in S E Asian market and marked in the range of US$ 1365/ton to US$ 1370/ton. F E Asian market price was in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1305/ton. In European international and domestic market, price turned soft around US$ 1540/ton and € 1130/ton, respectively. In USA market, ethylene was quoted around 65.25 cents/pound to 65.75 cents/pound.

MEG markets bounced back in global market. In S E Asian region, MEG prices hovered in the range of US$ 1085/ton to US$ 1095/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG inclined to around US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1095/ton and in Chinese market, MEG price stood in the range of RMB 8550/ton to RMB 8650/ton.

BGPET Chips price remained stable to weak in S E Asian region and was in between US$ 1710/ton to US$ 1720/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1710/ton for exportable goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 12350/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets remained stable around US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1570/ton and in Indian market; it was assessed in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 11850/ton to RMB 11900/ton.

PSF price continued to decline, in Chinese market PSF offers hovered around US$ 1835/ton to US$ 1845/ton. In Indian market 1.4 D PSF was around INR 98.75/Kg. 1.4 D Super black was around INR 111.25/Kg. In S E Asian market PSF offers were around US$ 1820/ton. In Chinese domestic market PSF offers were around RMB 12750/ton.
