Proposte – as popular as ever

We wish to thank the Ensemble Strumentale Scaligero of La Scala for the concert they put on for the listening enjoyment of exhibitors, visitors, journalists, and guests in the Ancient Villa on May 5. Their intense performance featured a repertoire ranging from Italian opera classics to a selection of enthralling modern pieces, including the exclusive world premiere of a work written specifically for Proposte by Maestro Massimo Di Gesu.

In the audience, experts and neophytes alike were moved by the compelling and memorable performance executed by the Ensemble, who were honoured with a well-deserved standing ovation.

A ceremony was held on May 6 to grant the three finalists of the Image 2012 competition their awards. Jury members Chiara Buss, Mauro Cavelli, Dalia Gallico, Giancarlo Iliprandi, and Marco Piva reviewed no less than 386 entries over the course of the month of April.

During the trade fair's first two days, agents, exhibitors, journalists, visitors, and guests were asked to vote on the finalist entries. Among them, Alessandro Cocchia from Naples came in first place with a 39% share of the votes, while Davide Incorvaia came in second with 37% and Eliseu De Castro Leão placed third with 24%.

After exhibitors and visitors were surveyed about scheduling preferences, the next edition of Proposte, its twentieth, will be held at Villa Erba on Tuesday May 8, Wednesday May 9, and Thursday May 10, one day earlier in the week than in past editions.
