The African country of Mozambique expects that its cotton production will increase by more than 66 percent in the 2010-11 season, according to Cotton Institute of Mozambique.
The institute expects that cotton output will grow by 28,000 tons, up 66.66 percent from that in the previous season.
Mozambique expects to produce 70,000 tons of cotton this season, compared with 42,000 tons in the 2009-2010 farming season.
In the last season 99 percent of the cotton was exported to the Asian market.
