Japanese exports of textiles rose for the first three months of 2011, according to a report of the Japan Textiles Exporters Association.
Exports in the period January to March increased by 16 percent to US $2.184 billion, year-on-year.
In the month of March, textile exports surged to US $847.91 million, up 21 percent over the previous month.
In March, textile exports to March exports to the European Union rose by 23 percent to garner a market share of 12 percent, while that to East Asia grew by 21 percent to account for 73 percent of the value.
